MESSAGE FROM THE EAST: Brethren, for those of you who missed the September meeting the lodge majority voted to NOT SELL our statue of George Washington. The lodge then voted in favor of loaning George to Masonic Villages where it will be restored and displayed in an appropriate environment. I personally wanted to thank all the brethren who have worked so hard on what I feel is the best solution especially Brothers Nat Gilchrist and John Pyfer.

This month we will be holding our table lodge. Our stated meeting will begin at its normal time and table lodge will follow. Therefore, there will be no dinner before our meeting. Table lodge is held in the Entered Apprentice degree so please invite any brothers in our pipeline who have been entered. Please remember to register for our annual banquet to be held on Friday November 10th at the Hamilton Ballroom at Wheatland Place. The event starts with social hour and cash bar at 6:30 pm. This event is catered by the Greenfield Inn.

The Masonic Charities represent the work of generations of Freemasons, all coming together to make a better world. The foundation on which each of the Masonic Charities stand: a foundation of love. By donating to the 2017 Annual Masonic Charities Fall Appeal, you help build the foundation for five varying charities. YOU build a foundation for the future. YOU build a foundation for success. YOU build a foundation for growth. YOU build a foundation for love. YOU build a foundation for support. We take care of our Masonic family with programs that help our most fragile family members age safely and give members of all ages a place to turn for relief at the Masonic Villages. We are champions of leading young men and women to reach their potential by investing in our Masonic youth groups through the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation. We have led the charge with equal access to education, security and support for every child in our Masonic Children’s Home, which provides healthy growth and development. We preserve, protect and share our Masonic heritage in our Masonic Temple and Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania. You can make your donation online by logging onto www.MasonicCharitiesPA.org and clicking “Donate” and complete the form. Or, mail your contribution to: Masonic Charities Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Dr. Elizabethtown, PA 17022

Brethren, welcome back! I hope everyone had a great summer! I look forward to seeing everyone at our stated meeting on Wednesday September 13th. This meeting we will celebrate our Past Masters, honor our 25-year members, and last but not least vote on whether we will sell on not sell our beloved statue of George Washington. While this meeting is a pretty full agenda it will be easier to hear as our PA system has been installed and works beautifully. Enjoy the rest of your summer and God bless.
