The Pillars of Freemasonry
I sincerely hope that each of you had a blessed and happy holiday season with your family. It is a new year, and with it, a new Masonic Year! This year’s theme is the Pillars of Freemasonry. Of course, the traditional pillars of Freemasonry are those two gleaming pillars that stood in the porch of King Solomon’s temple, Boaz and Jachin. We will celebrate them throughout the year. However, my year’s pillars for the Lodge are respect, communication, and fun.
Respect will be respect for your time and the traditions of Freemasonry.
Communication will be communication to everyone about the events for the year, and getting the Stated Meeting notice and Call ‘Em All out in plenty of time.
Fun will be not having the Worshipful Master stand up and tell jokes during Stated Meetings, which is not in my wheelhouse, but Fun will be enjoyment with your fellow brothers in the Lodge at the Stated Meetings and other events.
I wish to thank every one of you for allowing me to serve as your Worshipful Master this upcoming year. It is very humbling to stand in the East where the giants of Freemasonry have stood, and to follow in the line of excellent Past Masters that our Lodge has had.
Fraternally and sincerely,
James A. Bernheisel, WM
