A Piece of Lodge No. 43 History, Available to Our Members
As part of Lodge No. 43’s relocation from the Lancaster Masonic Center, a thorough review of all physical assets in the building was conducted. Our distinctive carved Fellowcraft chairs and upholstered settee benches received special consideration during this review. Given their age, it was determined that they are no longer the preferred seating option for regular Lodge use — the chairs have become fragile with time, and the benches, likewise, are showing the wear one would expect of antique furniture of their kind.
The Lodge will retain three benches and ten of the Fellowcraft chairs as part of our historical collection. The remaining chairs and benches are now being offered to our members, to hold as treasures in their own homes for generations to come.
