Under the leadership of Worshipful Master M. A. Lee Brinson, Mt. Horeb Lodge #14 M.W.P.H.G.L of PA will be in attendance during the open house at the Masonic Center with a voter registration table ran by Bro. Nelson Polite, P.M.. They will have info on the history of Mt. Horeb as well as the history of Prince Hall.
Our Sisters from Silverymoon chapter 56 Order of Eastern Star will also be on site.

The Worshipful Master of Lodge No. 43 has declared the official day of visitation at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown successful. Over two dozen residents that are associated with Lodge No. 43 were visited.
Brother Kenneth Caldwell, greeted by Brother Thomas Hopta, Worshipful Master, enjoyed a visit together. This was just one of many that day.
On Saturday, April 21, the official day of Lodge No. 43’s visitation at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, the residents that are widows of members were also visited.
Brothers Patrick White, Gordon Fisher, Vincent Spadea, and Thomas Hopta, Worshipful Master visited with Rhoda S. Miller, the widow of Brother Sherman Miller. She was just one of several widows that were visited by members of Lodge No. 43.
Brother Almore G. Robb Sr., a resident at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, received his lodge pin during from Brother Tom Hopta, Worshipful Master, Brother Michael Riggi, and Brother William Steele during Lodge No. 43’s official visiting to the Masonic Village.
Brother Robb said he didn’t expect the visit, but was most appreciative to meet his brothers.
Today is James Buchanan’s 221st birthday. It’s only fitting that Lodge No. 43 recognize this date – afterall, we are the ONLY lodge in Pennsylvania that ever had one of its members become President of the United States. Brother James Buchanan (did you know his real name is James Buchanan, Jr.?) served at the 15th president of the US.
Buchanan was born in a log cabin in Cove Gap (now Buchanan’s Birthplace State Park), Franklin County, Pennsylvania, on April 23, 1791, he moved to Lancaster and became a member of Lodge No. 43, and served as Worshipful Master.
During the official day of visitation at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, in addition to members of Lodge 43, the Worshipful Master, Brother Tom Hopta, visited Brother John Smuck. Brother Smuck, a resident at the Mssonic Village, offered a bright smile and appearewd delighted to be visited.
