Brother Kyle Slaymaker presented the program “Supporting a Brother Mason” where he shared his first-hand experiences of how his Masonic brothers supported him through his highs and lows. He discussed his personal struggles outside the lodge and how Brothers Noel Wenrich and Doug Scheid provided him with a shoulder to lean on and the guidance that helped transform his life. Brother Kyle spoke fondly of the late Worshipful Brother Noel Wenrich, who was always there for him during various milestones in his life, both good and bad. He also mentioned how Bro. Noel gently reminded him of his failings and supported him in getting the help he needed. Brother Kyle also talked about how Worshipful Brother Doug Scheid helped him move on from a problematic relationship. He emphasized that regardless of the situation, being a Mason is about being there for each other and extending support to a fellow brother. Brother Kyle’s message included encouraging members to attend meetings regularly and to step up and be a helping hand when a fellow Brother is struggling, as one’s actions could have a significant impact on someone else.
