Here is some information about the upcoming Lodge 43 Washington Memorial Tour & Degree to be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
6:00am – Leave Lancaster Masonic Center
9:00am – Arrive George Washington Memorial and start tour
10:00am – 10:30am – At conclusion of tour begin Extra Meeting. Non Masons can walk to nearby downtown Old Alexandria for sightseeing and shopping
12:00pm – Lunch – box type lunch to be eaten in the GWM
1:00pm – Travel to Scottish Rite Temple
2:00pm – Tour Scottish Rite Temple
4:00pm – Depart for Lancaster
Members, family and guests are invited to accompany the officers of Lodge No. 43 as we visit the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, VA and the Scottish Rite Temple in Washington DC.
During this trip the officers and members of Lodge 43 will be conducting an Extra Meeting and conferring a Degree on candidates of the First District. All Master Masons are invited to attend this special event as long as their dress conforms to the Standards of the PA Grand Lodge. Non Masons will be offered the opportunity to tour Old Downtown Alexandria while we are conferring the degree. The price includes the cost of the Motor-coach, guided tour of the Washington Memorial and Scottish Rite Temple and even lunch. Tickets are $50 per person. That even includes the ride home!
(Mason who wish to witness the degree conferral, Space is available to transport proper Lodge attire can be on the motor coach)
In conjunction with this event the PA Raised & Squared chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association and any other motorcyclists that wish to accompany us will be escorting the Motor Coach to DC and participate in the same activities. The cost to take the more enjoyable mode of travel is $40 per bike and $20 for a passenger. This also includes the cost of the admission to the guided tour of the Washington Memorial and lunch.
Proceeds from the ride to benefit The Lancaster 32° Dyslexic Learning center.
