James Buchanan died on June 1, 1868, and was buried at Woodward Cemetery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was buried with full Masonic honors and Lodge 43 was privileged to serve as his Masonic Pall Bearers for his funeral service.
Patrick Clarke, Director of James Buchanan’s Wheatland, recently supplied Lodge 43 with three old newspaper clipping files detailing the events and involvements of Lodge 43 in service and honor of the 15th President of the United States, James Buchanan.
