FROM THE EAST & SECRETARY’S DESK

MESSAGE FROM THE EAST

Brethren, the time has come to start considering the status of some of our antiques and collectibles. The Trustees and the Furniture committees have begun this process and have had several meetings. One item in question is the carved George Washington statue. Unfortunately it is in poor condition and in need of care. While we won’t have time to discuss this matter at our April meeting due to the DDGM visitation, I encourage you to attend lodge not only this month, but in May, where we will have a brief discussion on this statue and likely vote on its fate. We have three options: Sell it, repair it, or do nothing. If you have any other insight on this matter, feel free to contact me.

FROM THE SECRETARY’S DESK

Brethren, we are in the last stages of collecting 2016 dues. We had a call campaign for our non-paid members, and a final notice was sent in March. If you have yet to pay your dues, please do so. If you need assistance paying your dues or know of a Brother in distress, please contact the Worshipful Master or the Secretary. We most certainly would not want to suspend a Brother in distress for Non Payment of Dues at the April Stated Meeting.
